A little message and a couple of goodies for you! I love the simple statement of less is more. It doesn't apply to everything but it can be applied to many things in life. I made a cute little kit for you with some nice neutral colors, I think it can be used for many different layouts. I also made a quickpage for those of you that would like that. :)

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year! I had a nice low key Christmas and New Years at home! I loved being home and not running around all over the place as I have done so many times during the holidays. I don't know about you but I have been so busy I am finally feeling like I can come up for some air! My to do list has been long but it is shrinking and I am getting caught up on stuff around the house and in my designing. I wanted to let you know I have not forgotten about my blog followers and although I really wanted to have a special gift for you this Christmas I just couldn't fit it in. I do have plans for a new FREE kit coming soon though. I have some fun things planned for Kooky Cat Designs this year also. I am doing a few guest spots which is a first for me! I of course hope that it helps Kooky Cat Designs but it's also fun "meeting" and getting to know other designers. I hope you stick with me for another year! I plan on putting more of my designing time into Kooky Cat Designs this year and hopefully I can grow and just keep getting better! I promise to keep the freebies coming too! Now I realize I'm a bit early for this, I mean sheesh it's only September! I guess I was a bit anxious to make a Fall themed kit! One of my favorite things to do this time of the year (well in October) is take the family to the pumpkin patch! I know I have several pictures from many years of our visits to the pumpkin patch! Hi there! It has only been two weeks since I finished up Stay on Track but it feels like forever! I am so anxious to start my next kit but it has been a busy month for me! My hubby had a week off vacation from work so we had lots of family time. Also my oldest went back to school this week! I can't believe Summer is pretty much over! :( I always have this list in my head of things I want to do during the Summer, like things to do with the kids and places to visit, of course I never get to do them all. I'm lucky to accomplish 1 or 2 things! We did take a little weekend vacation to Santa Cruz last weekend to go to the ocean beach which was really nice. I am excited for Fall though, it's my favorite time of the year! I can't wait for the leaves to change and the weather to cool. I can't wait to get out the Fall decor out of the garage! I have a few ideas for my next kit but I am leaning towards something Fall inspired. Hopefully I can get caught up on things and start it soon. I even have some homework to do, yes my daughters school gave me homework amongst all the other paper reading and signing they also gave me writing project, fun! <insert sarcasm here

Well it's that time of the year again. It's still very summer like outside but I'm beginning to think of Fall already, my favorite time of the year. Children will soon be back in school and summer will be over. It's bittersweet for me. I love Fall and the routine that school brings but I also love these summer days when I can sleep in and have a leisure no plans kind of day. I will not be missing the 100+ degree weather though. My oldest daughter is starting a new school this year and not only that but she is entering middle school. I am a bit freaked out by this and it feels very much like when she first stated Kindergarten. Wish us luck!

I just had to make one more summer kit! This is a soft summer kit that makes me wish I was relaxing at the beach. I also have a Quickpage freebie for you made with this kit. Two for One

I'm uploading my two latest kits now. I started with the boy kit and decided to also re-color it and make a girl kit as well. My external hard drive died on me this week so I had no access to my scrap kits or much of anything else so I couldn't make any siggys. I did however have my photoshop so it was the perfect time to make something. I feel like I put these together quickly and there is not much detail to them but I think they turned out cute anyway. I think I have figured out that is what else is missing from my designs. It's the little details. I have such limited time on the computer I feel like I am always rushing to finish a kit and not taking enough time to make something more creative and above average. Anyway I still feel like my designs are a work in progress and I do learn more with each kit I make. I think I am going to try a different style and try to take a bit more time and add more details to my next design. I'm going to go ahead and start a Valentine kit now so it will be done in time and I can spend more time making it! I hope you enjoy these newest kits! Thank you! :)

It has been a busy month for me. I have not designed anything since the last kit but I look forward to designing more in the new year! I hope you have enjoyed my work so far. At some point in the new year I am going to retire all of my 2010 kits. If there is anything you think you may want to download please do so asap. I will be making many more kits in the new year though so don't worry! I hope to get better and better with each one! I have tons of ideas, it's just a matter of finding the time. A Cute Christmas is here!

I finally finished my Christmas kit! I was feeling like I was never going to get it done before Christmas got here! I used some new techniques and styles and I think I really like how it turned out! I am really happy with some of my elements and some I would have liked to play with some more but I also wanted to get this completed. I am so critical of myself I could do it all over a bunch of times and still not be happy so I must stop myself at some point and call it done, maybe I'm a little kooky :)~ I also tried my first extraction because I'm always feeling like something is missing in my kits and that's the bows and frilly stuff. I have thought about buying some commercial stuff but most TOU's don't want you to use their commercial stuff in freebie kits. Also I do like the fact that I make everything myself so I don't have to worry about others TOU's and I can be proud that I made the stuff myself. So I figured I would try an extraction and it worked out very well. I may try some more with the next kit. I need to get some ribbons and bows to use. :)

Well I updated the blog layout! We don't get any snow where I live which is probably why I love it. I don't have to shovel it or drive in it!

I am going to start my next kit soon and it will be a Christmas theme. I want to have it for you within the next two weeks. Once I get started, it usually only takes me about 4-5 days to make a kit because I get really focused on it. I feel like with each one I make I am learning and progressing into a better designer. The Christmas kit will be traditional Christmas colors, greens and reds, I have begun to brainstorm at this point but I don't have anything on paper yet. Christmas Ornaments Set One

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Here is my Thanksgiving treat to you! I made these when I was working on a Christmas card and I thought I would share them. I may be making some more hence the set one. These are not huge but they are just over 1000px wide so they should work well for most projects. I was making a 5x7 card when I made them so I left it that size since I didn't want to re-invent the wheel.

Wow Fall Flair!

I have been so busy I have not been designing anything other than siggys and Christmas cards but I did make these flair buttons and wanted to share them with you! Something to hold you over until the next kit! I also made some Christmas ornament elements the other day which I will share when they are ready. I wanted to make several different ones and colors to share so look for those later. I have not started another kit yet but I have been coming up with the ideas for one. Rainbow Fall

This is a fun kit, so colorful! I must give credit to my VIP designer friend Becca who came up with the idea for this kit! The wonderful colors and the idea for a rainbow colored fall! I played around with my papers a bit more with this kit and textures on the elements. I'm still trying out different styles and playing around trying to figure out what I like best and what things work best. I was thinking this kit was small until I put together the preview and saw how crowded it all was! All is not shown in the preview and this kit has 1 cluster, 2 quickpages, 2 masks and several fun word arts. Becca also made a couple of the word arts which are included in this kit! Three Little Monkeys

My third kit, here it is! Inspired by my three little monkeys! I knew I wanted to make something pink and girly and my almost three year old has been obsessed with monkeys lately so that is where I got the inspiration for this kit. You will find three fairy monkeys in this kit with lots of color and goodies to make some cute layouts for your little monkey or monkeys! Enjoy!

I was finally able to get my kits on the DigiScrapDepot site on Friday so I have had lots of visitors! Since Friday 120 downloads between the two kits! Cool! I am a little discouraged that out of all the visitors I had only two said thank you. To the kind people who took a minute to leave a comment thank you! I'm just getting started on my next kit and I'm going for a little bit more scrappy style. My style is not so scrappy but I do love the scrappy style too. I am used to using kits to make siggys so I have found that I like a certain type of elements and I am kinda going in that direction when I make my kits. Not sure what the style would be called but maybe you get the idea by checking out my kits! I do love traditional scrappy style also so I hope to do both styles.

So welcome to my new followers and happy scrapping!

I hope, hope, hope I can have something new to share soon! :)

Well this blog is still undiscovered for the most part. I'm working on getting it out there when I get a chance here and there. I have not had much luck so far obviously. I have not been able to design now for a couple of weeks anyway. It is on my mind though and I think I have an idea for my next kits theme. I hope I can start on it soon!

Soo, I'm working on a fall kit right now. I just make element by element in between everything else so it's taking a bit longer than I had hoped but it's coming together. I may have been a bit ambitious thinking I could post a kit a week. I will keep on keepin on though and post stuff as I make it. I hope my blog is found and my work is enjoyed. I just added my blog to digifree tonight so I'm hoping to get some traffic. I wanted to cute out my blog a bit more but I suck at HTML so this is it for now. I don't have fancy blinkies and such just quality graphics for free! I'm off now to work on the fall kit coming soon! :)
